fred fred and away!!!!

hey really...
if you need someone to make you understand something about DV or V&V
yeh gotta meet the freds!!!

oh yeah...the fred with a p and the one without a p...
these guys are awe inspiring!!!

so casual...so humble...so down to earth
so monstrously equipped and so demonically intelligent!!!!

man these guys can debug anything...they know the entire workspace...
one fred...the dood with the frenchie..(its ironc coz he himself is a frenchie :D)
he knows the entire e-map
the other fred....the cuter one...with a nose block...this dood know the entire c-map

good thing that i had a session with these two mavericks...they know everything
you wanna know....and so patiently explain stuff...you feel so confident once you interact with them...really...them guys.. the F and F...they dominate the world of V&V!!

today had a discussion with the fred without a p...he just sat there and let me explain what the scenario was and said thats it...code what u said!!! it seemed so simple after that...just coded the entire thing and had him review it..

the interaction with fred with a p...the frenchie dood...yeah the french gentleman with a french beard...he's wicked cool...got some big time puns with him....and he is total opposite of the other fred...he doesnt let u explain anything...but explains everything himself and makes u understand big time!!

am a fan of the F & F foundation...these guys rock!!!
merci beaucoup guys for all the help :)

bunny mine!!

yeah..bunnies...

loads of them...

some curious...
some brave...
a lot of them cute...
and all of them scared!!!

as soon as its past 6 in the evening...there is a bunny explosion...it seems as if like the whole garden is a bunny mine...they pop up outta nowhere...

these little sweethearts....there are so many of them...

some of them are just lying on the lawn lazily...a few are eating..chewing on grass...and some of them playing...

its really amazing to look at their cute furry faces....they run away when they hear you coming...and they actually hide if you continue walking...

just wait for sometime there itself....and you will get to enjoy the bunny antics!!

man these doods are really curious..
they push their ears up listening for any movement of mine and start sniffing in the air...i guess to detect any strange chemicals i might be emitting...

slowly they come outta their hiding places...from behind bushes and out of the holes and slowly resume what they were doing..though a few doods stand on their hind legs for the whole duration of your presence...just as a look out...you can actually see their whiskers twitching big time :D

now we becoming homies...slowly...they too get the fact that i am a veggie as them...i mean no harm...i actually plan to have baby carrots with them today...lemme see if we can indeed have that garden party :D

from the bunny kind...as their spokesperson...a big hi to all who will read this blog...

and yeah...we aint gonna stop having fun!!!

squeeek sqeeek squueek!!!!
(RUN JUMP SKIP!!!!)

saturday!!

now how in the **ll could i forget this...

lemme share the fun i had on saturday with you..

okay....slept late on friday...and got up really late on saturday...to see my roomie munching on nachos!!!

was on the net chattin with a special someone for sometime :)

finally we two decided it was time to move my roomie's stuff to the car..yeah he shifted out :(

he was not at sure that all his stuff would fit into his car...and along came a mammoth to help this confused soul out :P

first pushed two really large suitcases into the trunk of the car....and then neatly slid the third one into the trunk as well and shut it close...

then put his comforters on the leg rest of the back seat and had an extended cushion for the rest of the stuff..cutlery and the gizmos...yeah he is a gizmo freak...cant exactly call him a geek...

put all of them neatly and closed the back doors shut...we were aaaaaaallllllllllll settt!!! :D

then we both were really hungry...so decided to eat out..
went to this indian bistro called as indian tandoor...good stuff...3 sabzis...biryaani..raita...two rotis and pickles and yeah..i am still hooked on to it...lassi!!!

then went and did some shopping for cutlery...picked up some plates and bowls...

he still had some time and we decided to drive around...
there is this little indian shopping mall kind place...
went there...i picked up some pickles and we looked around..there is this nice place to pick up hindi dvds and stuff...

then we decided to have some chat...went to a nearby indian place...farsan something...forgot the complete name...i ordered...oh yeah..one more of my favs...puri and alu palya!!!!

it was filling!!! the meal that we had at indian tandoor was not filling but this was..

my roomie then wanted to have a masala chai...so we went to one more place...and i ordered a mango lassi :)..yeah one more lassi :D

this whole shopping area is filled with so many desis...i actually called the whites as foreigners!!!
good god..i am the foreigner here...not them :D

we sipped our lassi and chai talkin about all the beautiful places of india..
sringeri...kodaikanal...ooty...darjeeling...sikkim...shimla...shirdi...pune...tirupati and went on a whole discussion of how each place is unique and how good u feel when u are at them places :)

then finally headed back home and finished his packing and shifting of stuff...
we were too pooped out to cook...so we went to another indian place..where there was a buffet..
all u can eat vaala..
there was gulab jamoon...rotis...four five sabzis...chat...and the best part...a BIG bowl of raita...lip smacking raita...
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmhmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!

it was a very curdy saturday!!! :D indeed

at eleven finally my roomie pushed off...said my byes to him...

best of luck bro!! TC

pulao!!!!

yeah...finally did some of my own cooking... B-)

the best part is...i myself am the laboratory rat...for any sort of testing :)

bought a rice cooker first....along with some pans and rice and frozen veggies

i know..i am too lazy to chop up veggies...and found this awesome packet with everything packed into it....carrots..peas...beans...corn...and a few more veggies that i forgot :)

had too much of time...but wanted to have a lazy sunday...

put 2 cups of rice into the rice cooker and switched it on...the rice came out bindaas...totally fluffy and nice to eat...even the aroma was great!!

then well put the veggies into a bowl and microwaved for about 7 minutes and had a superbly well done veggies...

put some jeera powder...a little salt and a little pepper...hmmmmm..and a little sauteed onions in ghee...they sizzled till golden brown and just picked them up and put all them into a big bowl...put a little rice and the veggies into the bowl and mixed them all together..

added a little poppul pudi amma had sent.........

wooooooooooooooooooooweee!!
that was awesome....gulped down a lot of it...had a little yogurt on the side and a little pickle(nimbe kai)

that was heaven!!!!! actually it was something better than heaven..it was pulao!!!

the magical symphony :)

yo yo yo!!!

left my office on friday at 6.05 pm......missed the bus while waiting to cross the road.....was totally pissed off at myself for having missed the bus...

but need to thank the bus driver for the wonderful sight that i got to see..
i slowly pulled myself to the bus stop and sat on the seat...
to witness one more them magical mother nature's symphonies :)

awesome sight it was

there was a cool breeze blowing...the skies were almost clear........
the sun was just about to set..

the dude was one big fiery orange sphere...blazing away in his glory...
slowly did he start the majestic descent....to the west...

the sky light was lit up with his rays...his golden rays...his orangish golden rays...
it was amazing...everything around him was shining thanks to his mighty glow..

slowly the light in the sky started dimming...the bright white and golden sky started to lose its shine...it was one brilliant fade into a dull blue and grey sky...

u had to see the clouds...
man they were on fire thanks to the sun's rays...they were all burning a brilliant gold around their borders....
good god...!!! one the top half of the clouds you could see pale white colour....but the bottom half of the clouds were just burning golden!!!!

awesome sight this was...to see eagles soar in front of these clouds....the whole flight seemed so royal...

slowly the brightness started to lessen..as the sun went to his resting abode slowly....but majestically...the air cooled down..
you could feel the transition...in the temperature...it was so gradual..
the bright golden colour of the sky seemed to be fading into the horizon...whereas the colour of the dusk seemed to be seeping out of the horizon filling in the blanks...the blanks left by those golden hues...
the skies turned a dull grey....the clouds seemed to lose their lustre all of a sudden...
that burning golden glow had slowly turned into a pale orange and finally to a bluish grey hue..
it was music in the skies....everything was happening in a very synchronised manner..
this was amazing to watch...

i was sitting there..being a mute witness to this spectacular event...dumbstruck by the magic...
just sat there enjoying the spectacle...with the cool breeze blowing across....

that twinkle in your eyes.......

hmmmmm....yeah saw it today...not once...but many times

its really wonderful indeed to see that twinkle.....when one is speaking about something so dear to him/her.........the eyes really twinkle...they even shine....reflecting the passion that person has for the thing he/she talks about....

yeah now you may wonder what did i do this time...well as usual came late to the bus stop...and then well became the lucky guy to enjoy the adventures of an old man.......

the old guy was kinda pissed when i met him...the bus driver didnt allow us to get into the bus till five mins before the departure time...and the old guy had to get down...

well...then we started off with the conversation...well i started this discussion by asking him about what kinda rifle he owned......well he was wearing a NRA cap....for those who dont know what NRA is..it short for National Rifle Association......

then did the story that i thoroughly enjoyed begin...
he had bought a very expensive rifle about 30 years back...which he paid $400 for at that point of time....man...that was expensive....he was so possessive about that gun that he didnt even use it a single day..he used to borrow guns from his friends and use it to hunt quails and deer....i know i know sounds like an ice age salman khan!!! :D

okay back to the story...it went from he going on hunting trips with his buddies...then withhis teenaged son....to his divorce where he did not give me the reason for that to happen...

it seems that he had hunted animals left and right...

now i come to the best part of the story...

ok...one winter he and his son are on their way for a hunt....and they come across a medium sized brown bear right in the middle of the road...now this teddy scrambled into the bushes when this guy honked at it......and well outta curiosity the guy gets down from his car...armed..no dont worry not with a gun but with a camera!!! and goes searching for the bear in the nearby bushes...and LO!! the bear has run up a nearby mound and standing on its hind legs....with ears pricked and it sniffing around intently for anything strange in the air...

these two guys...the teddy and the oldie...are locked in a stare down....and this idiot...not the bear...but this oldie...shouts "boo!!"....what an idiot....instead of enjoying the curious gaze of that brown bear...he yells boo...and the bear scurries away......
no one was hurt except for the fact that the oldie was all sweating and well he forgot to take the picture....

this is the part of the story that he cherishes a lot....dunno why...but you had to see that twinkle in his eyes when he was talkin about it...it felt good...

though one thing i would like to say here...i didnt appreciate that mad gleam that comes into his eyes whenever he talks about hunting down animals...he is nothing more than a cold blooded killer....didnt like this fact one bit...

one more twinkle that i am talkin about that everyone would enjoy is that which appears in the eyes of that little kid when it gets that cone of ice cream...yeah chocolate ice cream...and it takes the first lick!!!! after all that shouting and bawling.....finally when it gets that cone of ice cream into its hands....oh man!!!! success!!! a big smile............then comes the first lick...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmhmmmmmmmmm woooooooooowee!!! cold and chocolaticious!!!!!!! he he he he he....sweet nirvaana!!
and when the second lick comes....then shine the eyes....u have to watch it to enjoy it...
though you might get an angry little stare from the little fella if he/she realises that you are staring at the ice cream.... :D

music!!!

hmmmm yeah...........anything is music to your ears if u enjoy it....

a word of praise...a good song....your girlfriend's laughter...the sound of a harley's engine pounding away....your mother's caring voice...........nothing beats your mother's voice....the most soothing.....the most calming....the most wonderful thing that you get to hear everyday..........right from the morning..."GET UP YOU LAZY LUMP!!!!" :D :D

just kiddin ma...love you..

also a special acknowledgement........one more relaxing thing is that rare word of appreciation that escapes from your father's mouth....man you gotta cherish those words....they carry your all of the pride that ur dad has....

the other thing that i will repeat....nothing makes you feel better than listening to your girlfriend laugh...even at the most pathetic of your jokes.....

also music....beats from any percussion instrument.....sounds from any string or wind instrument...man if properly done...its rhythm divine!!!

you have to see a person enjoying his/her music...he/she just are in their own zone...enjoying their music....swinging to it...rockin their heads....twiddling their fingers.....air guitaring...banging on anything bangable :D....

really...music is reqd to relax oneself...get that distraction....get back the focus....get the concentration going...get the right mood...

yeah the choice of music does vary with the mood......a scenarion of real concentration could be helped by that UT 2005 music....unearthly fast stuff...while tryin to relax oneself...soothing beats with smooth music is required...when just chilling....a smoke on the water...a brick in the wall..a seven nation army...a in the army now...a sultans of swing...a sweet home alabama...a kiss from the rose (my fav due to certain reasons) ........

yeah good music == good times!!!

Jhoom baraabar jhoom
Dhoom machaake jhoom :)

accomplishment!!!and the feeling that remains

Oh yeah!!!!

saw a lady with blonde locks riding...not pillion but actually riding the bike...not just a bike...it was a HARLEY!!!!

oh man!!! it was good........the bike i mean...huge tank....wide bike it was...the lady was small compared to the bike in size....maybe somebody near 7 and about 250 pounds plus...now he would look good on the bike....

okie back to the feeling of accomplishment......when you end up doing something on your own without having much of a background on what to do...the feeling that you get on getting it right...now that feeling is something that you can enjoy for a long time :D

got to debug three tests that were failing at one shot.......same cause of the failure it was...now that felt so good....suddenly i did something.......ended up singing a hindi song loudly while walking on the road :D its fun to do that

its really fun to do that

you get a very good feeling inside you....everything seems a little more simple....a little better...a little more enjoyable....the best part of this feeling....it is long lasting and drives you more and more....

cannot really describe how exactly the feeling arises.......different reasons might give you that feeling....just enjoy it....it makes you feel good!!!

party TIME!!!!

Oh YEAH!!!!!!!!!! Oh YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sunday = Fun Day!!!!!!

had the best sunday in san diego....

got up late....say 9 i guess....after all the essentials being done...had a small breakfast and started off with the watching of NFL!! B-)

Awesome stuff this NFL is...always thought who's gonna watch a few guys in helmets colliding with one another...there is so much of strategy along with all that speed and stamina on the field...
God some of the guys are fasTT!!!
most of them are huge.......
it was better to watch with company than watch it alone..got to learn some stuff about the game from my roomie...thanks bro..

watched the game for about two three houres...lost track of time yesterday :)
then finally had a bath and started cooking...
my roomie is a non veggie...and we had one more buddy come over...he too is ok with chicken...
so we prepared chicken biryaani.......
no no dont you get alarmed...i didn't eat even a single bite..........had some dal and rice and curds and rice :)

it was good fun.....me enjoying the aroma and tellin the guys when to stop the cooking...ot royally jacked for that.......it was like " this guy wont eat chicken and look at him......drinkin up all the aroma" :D :D

it really smelt good.....but there is a downside to this.........the guys had never prepared it before...they had to eat their own creation....dunno how did it actually taste...though everything went in...

hmmmm...gotta say though..the aroma was mind blowing...awesome smell had filled the house :)

then we had lunch watching six days and seven nights...a harrison ford movie...nuthin else was on....it was ok i guess...we were more into chatting and laughing and me getting ragged :)

then in the evening at say 6....no 5.40 ish to be precise(aint being precise still) went out to get some groceries...there is this place where you get awesome stuff for very cheap prices......but its a 6 mile drive...never mind...for good stuff..that much of travel is welcome :)

went there and picked up loads of veggies and fruits...apples..bananas...strawberries....also some indian rotis..yeah..they do have indian rotis here!!! deep frozen though...just microwave or heat them on tava...and well enjoy maadi :)

i also had to pick up pillows for myself...
oh ddANG!!! left out the best part ere...
on the way to the supermart...came across two latina babes zooming in a fast car...forgot which model was it....
and thanks to the extra weight(me) in the car...my buddies missed out on two hot girlfriends :D
well sorry guys....didn't know me sitting in the back seat would take out so much off the car's acceleration :D

hmmm...halloween is up...so a lot of shopping and all is being done :).....thinkin of some stuff to buy...dunno what will i do...
well...back to me pillows...soft and fluffy they are...on the whole trip back to the apt...i ended up hugging me pillows...yeah i know...CUTE!! :P

on the way back....we saw some amazing stuff!!!!
a NOKIA office on the top of some hill!!! awesome place it is resting at...
ok now for the amazing stuff...

a big time sunset...
the sun had already set...welcome almost....the dusk was just settin in...
amazing color mix in the sky....
a bottom layer of orange and yellow...
followd by a blue..followed by a grey layer....
then there was this spirally cloud formation....man wa that amazing..a white..grey..blue and black combo...awesome shading and lighting effects by mommie nature :)
she rocks !!

oh man...and then as the dark settled in with the orangish tinge in the sky going completely out......the lights...the street lights...sparsely distributed but...amazing nonetheless......they looked amazing as if a golden pearly necklace around the hill....amazing sight this was...you have to see it to enjoy it...am sorry i have no photos for all this...though use your imaginations...u will see what i saw... :) and enjoyed :)

good God!!!! the nature is amazing to look at... :)

then after lapping up all the mother nature's glory...went to starbucks...ordered a cold coffee...
the guy behind the counter heard my col coffee as a toll coffee...and gave me a black coffee :)
yeah i drunk it all up.........man it does taste bad...never mind :)for all that goodness one cup of bitterness doesnt matter :) :D

okay finally......went out for dinner to this hotel...Chipotle :)
good mexican stuff..
ordered a burrito with the following fillings..
rice..beans...onions and capsicum mixture...tomatoes and lettuce and basil :)...sour cream...a little salsa....and tabasco sauce... B-)
filling or what??
all for only $5.60....now thats filling

topped it all off with an ice cream from baskin robbins.......man they do have some really wierd stuff here.......
what better way to end a perfect day.....wowweeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!

new apt!!!

yup...i finally moved into my new apartment... :)

hey the place is beeeuuuuuuuutifulllllllllllllllllll!!!!!
have a really aesome roomie...totally friendly....a real dude!!
unfortunately...he is moving out in a week :(

he has been really helpful...giving me a lift from the hotel and back...also picked me up from the hotel today and helped me move in...

friday evening had some paper signing to do...now herecomes our little GTA styled drive around adventure :D
the lease stuf got transferred to my name and he offered to dop me back...went back...the best part was going back....

we were supposed to make a left turn at some point of time.....God!! there was so much of laughing and fun going on in the car that we forgot to change the lanes and drove straight towards the office.......then....finally on realisation...turned back and then had to make a right turn...forgot that as well.........had to make another u-turn........got onto the right lane to make a left.....and turned left finally!!!!
man oh man...that was funnyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy :D :D

the reason for this complete distraction was my stupidity at the office....am so used to buzzing my access card at every door....well had been to the restroom...and while going outta the restroom...i am trying to buzz my access card at a non existant scanner....and trying to locate the scanner.... :D :D

now that is something that doesnt happen usually....yeah go ahead..go ahead...laugh your heads off.......i mean it...it would have been better if you were actually there!!!!

ok...shifted to the new place...ts amazing...maybe its kinda expensive.....but to have all the amenities around you...it feels good to be at such a place :)

the roomie is a real good cook....good stuff he comes up with :)

well did some grocery shpping...only in USA can you find one whoe aisle dedicated for cereal...
couldnt decide which to pick up :D

am learning a lot of new stuff...wrt traffic in here....a lot of organised stuff them guys follow here...it feels good to be a pedestrian here...
hey ok...enough of blogging...will go and help my roomie :) to cut some veggies up..

take care...happy SUNDAY ter yer all :D
CHEERS!!!!!

R and D

honestly....sometimes R is D!!!
I mean being rash...is totally dangerous!!!

though that aint the R and D i will talk about..
though i would just like to add these lines again...
a little more patience can help one a lot....a little more wait will put one into a better position!!!

ok back to the actual R and D :: research and development....

now why in the heck would i talk about this....yesterday i had a wonderful conversation with a prof. kinda guy from SDSU..

believe me..it is a real good feeling you get once you talk to someone like this..
i didn't even ask his name...surely he knows his stuff

i was looking for a place to sit down and have my lunch at the food court. Finally sat down beside this gentleman.

First two minutes, we didn't talk. Then he initiated the conversation about cultures and practices.
This gentleman is from philippines.......
and he asked me whether the family plays the most important role from where i came from..
I told him...that indeed it did...that the family is the most important thing one can have..
the most important thing that one needs..

hmmm..then we started talkin about respect to elders....he narrated an incident of his...it seems that he was in a plane and had to sit close to an Indian family :)
and when getting down from the plane the family let the granny go first...now i didn't know why exactly was she allowed to go first...respect...or just that she had to attend a nature's call..
one will never know..
ok back to the discussion..now we started talkin about the importance of elders and respecting them and stuff..
we agreed that its the same anywhere....elders are respected...and the respects are paid..well not by everyone...but mostly by those who indeed respect the person in consideration...
and we also agreed on the fact that city life...the fast and the furious style of life does distort the traditions that are passed on through generations...

yeah...thats all oK...then we came into the topic i wanted to talk about...
this person is associated with the SDSU and helps out research students with their projects..

now this is what you might find interesting......
it aint just about deciding on a topic that you will work on...no no no...
i know that a few do agree that it aint that simple as deciding a topic and running after it..

here i go..
first of all is the budget...everything revolves around the amount of moneythat is available and can be spent with something remaining for some sudden expenditure you might have to bear..

next....decide on a topic..that is well...first of all relatively the in thing and then which is your backyard....i mean you have to be comfortable with the subject...sometimes to the extent that you might have to bear the entire project on your shoulders..

next...work out what are you going to do work on... i mean the kind of project and stuff..only simulations or will it invlove both simulations and some real time processing...the RTP may involve some hardware as well...

next..make sure that you get your plan..the one you have come up with is OK from atleast two three people who know their stuff....

now where does the R and D come in is what you ask me...a small project may not see any difficulty...
in case you are going to do a mega..a big time project...you need the R and D there...
YES...once the project starts off.. there will be R and D over what you will have to do...the goal will already have been defined.........

the better part of R and D comes in when you are trying to define the goal....you have to have a lot of measures for your project...money and time and comfort with the topic chosen being the only three visible ones....there is a lot more to it...

oh yeah....this sort of R and D, where you have to decide how a computer n/w is to e set up...what are the configurations of the systems to be used and what sort of environment should this computing n/w be set up in....what sorta insulation and isolation has to be achieved for the project to move on without hiccups..........and all this has to achieved with the budget available...

finances...engineering....material sciences...communication...chemical sciences....so on and so forth...everything plays a part...

Hmmm...just imagine how much one will have to think to do and come up with the best fit plan with all them limitations....just imagine how many of such minds would be required!!!!

now this is what the gentleman does....he provides the pre-plan R and D to the research students of SDSU....well he is a part of a huge team..that consists of engineers of all kinds and even what i will call finance engineers!

it was indeed a pleasure to talk to this person.........had a wonderful time getting all these insights and really..its a very challenging job the one he does....

hey this is the best part about R and D...nothing is incorrect or wrong...everything is a solution...just that some solutions are better fit than the others....

a hummer a harley,and a governator!!!!

wwwwwooooooooooooooooweeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!

saw my two dream vehicles finally...from up close range....

its an amazing machine....
an engineering wonder....
pure eye candy to me.......
if its adrenaline..then its this mean machine!!!!!

oh man....such a shape...such a build....so hunky!!!! (sorry am sounding kinda gay...but this is THE ultimate vehicle)

good God can these metal beasts thunder!!!
amazing speeds....it just whooshes past you...
you can feel the rumble in the air..when these vehicles go past you........
God!!! unbelievable these are...

i still cannot believe I actually had a hummer and two harley VUSJ past me!!!!
ooooooooooooo man.....the sound of the engine is amaaaaaazingggggggggggg!!!!

harleys that i saw..one was a blue and black one...with big handles....the other was black and silver
with them ram like handles.....amazing sight to watch...
one of the riders had his hair braided and was wearing airplane goggles to drive this beast....
man am i jealous of this guy....
the THUDDING of the engine...its pure music to my ears...

the hummers that i have seen are of red, black and guess dark green........two of them drivers were having big rock star beards.....and wearing heavy black glasses!!!
the hummer that whooshed past me was the black one.......you feel so insignificant when such a wonderful thing goes past you....its like all the other cars on the road vanished in front of my eyes...i only could see the hummer!!!!! this was an amazing experience...

a little snippet about harley for you to read :
============================================
The Harley-Davidson motorcycles are heavyweight (over 750 cc) bikes designed for cruising on the highway and known for their distinctive exhaust note.

The classic Harley-Davidson engines are two-cylinder, V-twin engines with the pistons mounted in a 45° "V". The crankshaft has a single pin, and both pistons are connected to this pin through their connecting rods.
This design causes the pistons to fire at uneven intervals, the consequence of an engineering tradeoff to create a large, powerful engine in a small space. This design choice is entirely vestigial from an engineering standpoint, but has been sustained because of the strong connection between the distinctive sound and the Harley-Davidson brand. This design gives the Harley-Davidson V-twin its unique choppy "potato-potato" sound. The exhaust note is basically a throaty growling sound with some popping.
============================================

a little snippet about hummer for you to read :
============================================
Hummer is a brand of large off-road vehicles (H1) or sport utility vehicles (SUVs) (H2, H3, H4) sold by GM. They are based on the military High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle(HMMWV), or Humvee.

In 1990, it seems that two matching white Hummers were driven from London to Beijing over the rough roads of central Soviet Union. The Hummers made the trip with ease, for they were built to drive on off-road terrain.
Also from 1992, a civilian version of the M998 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV or Hum-Vee) vehicle was sold to the public under the brand name "Hummer". According to sources, this was done so after Arnold Schwarzenegger asked the company selling the vehicle to; apparently, he was impressed by a convoy of HMMWVs that drove by during his filming Kindergarten Cop in 1990.

also now coming to the governator.......hey guess what..i am in his state B-)

the best part is the intro music....full volume and it always sends a chill down the spine!!

Hey the real reason which triggered this blog was not the governator or the hummer or the harley itself...
well it was a hummer...but with a lady driver in it!!!!

a few soups...all of them are worth a shot and guess what...so are the salads!!!!!

after eating all this if you still have some space left in ur tank...
hit the JAMBA!!!!

hey man...awesome juices and smoothies you get here...
u have three options for the container...of various capacities...
if u are me...then you would go for the POWER holder....
if u aint me...then go for the other two...16 or regular...

I still am to try out all the options available....but i personally vouch for the CITRUS SQUEEZE!!!!! with energy boosters....
for $4.75....only...nowhere else will you get all the citric goodness......
awesome feeling it is...holding the power container and walkin down the street with the wind blowing on your face and well if you can hold on to your POWER container...

and wait till say 6 pm...you gonna enjoy the most beautiful sunset...
man the Sun God looks so orange...so yellow...so gold....
he is like the CIRTIC KING...with all the citric goodness in Him...spiced with a little vitamin D as well!!! :D

really the best way to spend an eveing on the MIRA MESA Boulevard is to have a PWER CITRIC SQUEEZE and walkin down the road...enjoyin the clear skies....and watching the glorious SUN setting....
going gracefully into the skies....a little away from us....it really is a long sunset.....and the most enjoyable one...
the lights in the sky start dimming ever so slowly.....
from a bright white....the colour gets reducing towards a mix of dark blue and black....

enjoy the magic of mira mesa with a POWER CITRIC SQUEEZE from Jamba!!!

PS : hey guys from Jamba and Sipz...no harm meant to you guys....I totally am writing this in complete appreciation of you guys...
and no..i have not been paid by anyone to write this
I am writing this on my own...after being completely satisfied with these two guys...

baapuji...a salute to you sir :)

Hey I guess it must be early hours of Gandhi Jayanthi in India already

a holiday for the school kids and the techies and the teachers and govt and private org employees
a holiday for a few moms...maybe there will be an eatout involving the entire family...
maybe the college going and the techies will go out for a picnic or a movie..
maybe a few extra hours for every guy to be with his girl :)
maybe some extra shopping to be done...
maybe some extra cleaning of the house to be done :)

hmmmm.....the meaage of bapu needs to be spread among the people....in different ways...and I guess the movies will be a great way to do so........
maybe there will be lagey raho munnabhai aired on TV....probably the best gandhi movie i have ever seen....
its not about bapu...its more on how you adopt his principles.....
awesome movie...and the characters played by two of the best actors possible...sunjay dutt deserves that kinda roles....he is tailor made for munnabhai....so is arshad warsi for the role of circuit...awesome duo these guys are...

ok...back to OCT 2nd...
this is my first bapu's jayanthi without a holiday....will celebrate this time by working extra hard.. :)

back at school we celebrated october 2nd big time.....having bhajans and flag hoisting and sweets distribution...we had to wear white....it was amazing..for ten years we actually in a way saluted the great man...these days....the day just means a holiday...for friends to meet up/go out on a date...
all this after getting up late..

hope i can incorporate some of his principles into my life....
have a more systematic lifestyle.....
it aint just ahimsa principle....the book..."my experiments with truth" now that is indeed an eye opener for me...have to read it thoroughly.....

though sometimes i wonder if bapu wasn't thrown outta the train...would we ever have had such a person to look upto.....guess that happened for the best of us all...

hey bapu...thanks for the fight for the freedom and teaching us the main and the most simplest lesson of them all..
"have a little patience in whatever you do"

wishing all a happy Gandhi Jayanthi!!!

mr.bunny...get off the road!!!!

hmmmmmmm....sorry abt my outburst in the last posting

just felt really sick after reading about these things.....
disgusting it is....

OK....back to the topic.......saw mr.bunny trying to cross the road :D

trust me...this is a completely funny incident that happened this sunday :D

I was walkin down the mira mesa on this sunday...30th Sept....jst trying to get some boredom outta my system...

and became a part of the funniest sequence of events that has happened in the last ten days..

there is the hare dude trying to cross a busy boulevard....well actually on sundays the road almost comes to a full stop..
slowly he is edging himself towards the road....from the bushes..
there is a huge growth of them bushes on the sides of mira mesa boulevard...its really nice...
but kinda gets scary after 10 in the night...you have to think twice before you walk after 10 in the night...huGE vehicles screaming away on the road....man....i always end up chanting God's name when I walk on the road after 9 itslef in the nights :)

ok back to the story...this hare dude stops dead in this tracks on hearing me stomping my way up the road...and doesn't run away.....he just perks his ears up and stares at me......
i guess he mustaa been wondering who in the heck is that.....or rather what in the heck is that......

he he he...i too stopped outta curiosity...just to see what the dude would do.....

this dude is just staring at me without even blinkin hs eyes....its like he had a look of "come on PUNK...let me see whatcha got" :D
no laughing matter this was...for a few moments i was kinda scared....thinkin of mr.bunny sir would do...
man!!! ok enough of sarcasm.....
we had a huge stare down of about 45 seconds i guess...then mr.bunny just went back to the bushes....
it was as if like..."buddy..enough of staring..i am bored.."

eh....this might sound stupid for a few....but this was fun to me.....being involved in a stare sown with bunny dood!!!

hey bunny bro....keep rockin buddy....just look both ways before you cross the road matey....

bunny DOOD rocks :)!!!!

dood....its a child.....GET IT....IT'S NOT UR THING

righttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt.......

you see a child..male or female..it doesnt matter...its everything for its parents.....
nine months the mother carries the child in her womb.........
she shares everything in her with the child......its her own flesh.....own blood....a part of herself...
she has to endure unbearable pain...untold miseries....all for that hope...all for that joy she is going to have for the rest of her life..
the father...he has to run around taking care of his wife and making sure that he has everything ready to take care of the kid...his kid......
really both of them undergo a lot...sacrifice a lot..just for the wellbeing of their children......

being a mother is one of the most difficult jobs....really....and myself having made it tough for my mother...i will say yes to this........she takes care of this child...never taking her eye off the kid....i believe a mother stops sleeping once she becomes a mom...24/7 supervision all 365 days....now thats security.....

really.......a mom's love is probably the best love anyone can have...
a mom's care is i guess even better than the God's care....

i don't get what do people get from humiliating a child....
a 6th standard girl assaulted by 7...not 1 not 2...but 7 teachers for not doing homework....
a six year old kid humiliated for not doing homework in front of the entire class..
children being beaten mercilessly for not doing their homework or not scoring enough marks....

right.....now i guess the words from the song another brick in the wall seems appropriate
"HEY TEACHER.....LEAVE US KIDS ALONE"
homework aint everything u know.....its not something that is going to shape up a kid's career..

its what and how a teacher does which is going to shape a kid's career and life up.....
a teacher inspires a child more than anyone else can...honestly....
i will have to say i have had so many of them to look upto........
a lot is picked up from observation and not from forced classroom lecturing...
probably its the primary school teachers after the mom and dad who shape up a kid's life.......

dont' do this over the edge punishment thingy.....
" have a little control over youself " is all i can ask the teachers....
really......its very easy...being with kids and teaching them....all it needs is a little self control
and one more thing is.....if you can't...try some other profession....please....

and probably one of the more...no no probably the most disgusting thing i have heard or read about
an asshole kidnaps a 3 year old.....assaults her..tapes it and shares it with friends......RIGHT!!!
way to go punkass!!!
yeah you had your moments of pleasure....congratulations...you just destroyed 3 people's lives......
SHIT man........i just hope u get a lot more than what u deserve for this.....

this is not what is supposed to happen.......i just dont understand what goes n in them people's minds...when they do stuff like this.....why would you do something like this?
ok i get it that every man...every woman has weak moments....has problems...weaknessess......get a doctor....talk to someone..get over these sickening thoughts and get away from the company u r in....if that is what is the problem.....dont let these kinda thing shappen...they are not supposed to....

tell me what pleasure does one get by doing this...its just disgusting.....its just something that's not supposed to happen.......NO NO NO NO!!!!! THIS SHOULDN'T HAPPEN

arrival!!!!

yeah......arrived after flying back into time in new york at 4.35 am!!! and the immigrtaion ppl were already up....all clean shaven and energitic........man oh man.......the immigration stuff went pretty easy...got a "BEST OF LUCK SON" wish from a officer who was shocked to know that i am 23 and not 45 and also the differnece b/w my current look and the one in the passport!!!!

then went on and collected my bags....again the guys opened up the bags....this time they did not scatter anything....told them i was carrying sweeets that me mum had perpared for me and well that was done!!!

had to wait until 9.30 in NY itself for the next flight...man oh man..without a single dollar in my pocket..it was fun...tryin to encash my traveller's cheques..............that was baaaad...no one early in the morning has that much change in their cash registers....dang!!!

i thought of buying a camera...just to get some change......and the store policy said....no change of more than 20 dollars would be given for a traveller's cheque......good god!!! just walked out.....got some indian currency encashed..and well thank God had something finally to eat.....

spent some time talkin to a nice couple....and finally got into the plane..!!!! 6hr journey...with well...uppittu and bonda as my afternoon lunch!!! along with fruit and yogurt...........ha ha ha wooooooooweeee!! eeyup...strange things can happen when u are flying :)

okie....arrived in san diego...and got into a cab......
the cab driver..the most friendliest man u can meet in san diego......
hey man....i owe you for your help..thanks a lot bro.....

he took me to a moneytree office...cashed my traveller's cheques and then went to my hotel.....
now the drive to the hotel was awesome!!! man oh man...zooming at 100 was theeeee ride i wanted...

it also was raining lightly..........first rain in a month or so i guess...and it rained on the day i arrived!!!

just showered and went around looking for groceries....bought some at a petrol bunk...most of the places were closed on that saturday.......and walked back.......
just ate some bananas and bread with butter and jam......and slept like a log.......

SUNDAY!!!
got up....got ready....ma and pa called up...talked to them over the phone and well....it felt good talkin to them.....went around the place and located my office...

the place is like a desert man.........on a sunday especially.......

i flew!!!!!

Right!!!!! first of all....got really lucky to get such an opportunity......got thru the interviews and stuff...got meself a L1 and finally flew out to San diego :)

Its a really good experience.......flying back in time..literally...sitting in a cramped up place....unable to stretch legs...unable to stretch arms.....though had the most adjustable seatmates(??)....weaving around and dodging my arms whenever i stretched out...

wooweeee!!! the queue for the toilet was fun....too many ppl...and the sad part was that all had to go at the same time :D
for a guy of my size and structure fitting into the toilet was the best part :D...what happened inside was a real stress reliever....

hmmmm..the food provided on the plane..say vegetarian....and you are served panerr butte masala and biryaani..right...like anyone can eat that....though the energy bars and the chocolate and the curds provided was good...and the airhostesses were kind enough to provide water from time to time...and you could walk up to the end of the plane to get urself a glass anytime :)

alcohol was also available...but cost $5 a glass.......

best part of the flight was the in seat entertainment......i got my own ear phones and got to watch dhoom 2, shrek 3 (thrice), and surf's up.....also watched simpsons...man that ws good entertainment........watch that LCD screen...take a nap...drink water...thats pretty much what was done for the entire 15 hrs.....

the best part of course was before i got into the flight.....got this young female questioning me about some immigration stuff......yeah i guess she was employed there......man i was all sweaty lugging my heavy luggage around......(yeah yeah...myself too)...and this woman starts questionin all nonsense...who packed ur bags?? when? how? did u accept anything from anyone in the airport? why are u going to US? why cant you work from here? are you alone right now? (riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight..like i was the only feller in the entire airport at that point of time...never mind)
i guess she was doing her job...and i well trying to clear the immigration stuff...had my check-in luggage searched twice......man..those buggers kinda seem to relish this stuff......and then after the baggage search.they wear them gloves and say "sir..now i am gona frisk you"........right!!! like i would enjoy a uniformed man with a mushtache running his hands.......oooooooook i will stop it here...if it was a girl..then maybe things would have been a little more interesting.....

the whole time being on the phone..with either dad or mom or sister or a special someone....it was fun......also having ur uncles call up and wish you ATB just before I boarded the flight...that was fun...

though the most treasured phone conversations of that day will have to be
1. my high school teacher callin me up
2. my girlfriend callin up just before the plane took off
3. amma and appa saying bye one final time before i lost network

the entire day was a thoda bhaaga bhaaga sa kinda day.......and the aeroplane journey well was indeed one of a kind.....
