baapuji...a salute to you sir :)

Hey I guess it must be early hours of Gandhi Jayanthi in India already

a holiday for the school kids and the techies and the teachers and govt and private org employees
a holiday for a few moms...maybe there will be an eatout involving the entire family...
maybe the college going and the techies will go out for a picnic or a movie..
maybe a few extra hours for every guy to be with his girl :)
maybe some extra shopping to be done...
maybe some extra cleaning of the house to be done :)

hmmmm.....the meaage of bapu needs to be spread among the people....in different ways...and I guess the movies will be a great way to do so........
maybe there will be lagey raho munnabhai aired on TV....probably the best gandhi movie i have ever seen....
its not about bapu...its more on how you adopt his principles.....
awesome movie...and the characters played by two of the best actors possible...sunjay dutt deserves that kinda roles....he is tailor made for munnabhai....so is arshad warsi for the role of circuit...awesome duo these guys are...

ok...back to OCT 2nd...
this is my first bapu's jayanthi without a holiday....will celebrate this time by working extra hard.. :)

back at school we celebrated october 2nd big time.....having bhajans and flag hoisting and sweets distribution...we had to wear white....it was amazing..for ten years we actually in a way saluted the great man...these days....the day just means a holiday...for friends to meet up/go out on a date...
all this after getting up late..

hope i can incorporate some of his principles into my life....
have a more systematic lifestyle.....
it aint just ahimsa principle....the book..."my experiments with truth" now that is indeed an eye opener for me...have to read it thoroughly.....

though sometimes i wonder if bapu wasn't thrown outta the train...would we ever have had such a person to look upto.....guess that happened for the best of us all...

hey bapu...thanks for the fight for the freedom and teaching us the main and the most simplest lesson of them all..
"have a little patience in whatever you do"

wishing all a happy Gandhi Jayanthi!!!
